Welcome! This is NOT A DATING SITE! This group is for all adult ages to hang out and make friends. THIS IS NOT A DATING SITE! Members or new members that start out by messaging others without ever showing up will be removed. Please show up. Meet and have fun. If more happens, that is great. It doesn't matter what your relationship status is. The majority of the members do tend to be single people, we do have coupled people that fit in just fine. The goal is to have events that are fun and laid back for both men and women. There have been great friendships created out of this group and we really love meeting new people and adding them to the happy mix, so don't be shy to join and definitely don't be shy to jump into events.
We are looking for active people to come explore the various activities that this area and the state have to offer. We are super-friendly and laid back--we were all new here once--and the events will run the gamut from a game night at someone's house to dancing at the Blue Note (or in a parking lot--it happens!) to kayaking to a great event at the Fox Theatre! Think bonfires, local events, movies, laser tag ,playing pool, pizza and beer, dinner and root beer, karaoke, game nights, BBQs, etc. If its an interesting event, we'll post it!
This is NOT a club to make political or religious statements, or comment on someone else's life choices. There are groups for that, and if you find a like-minded friend here then all the better. But the events themselves are geared towards EVERYONE, regardless of beliefs or orientations, to have fun and socialize. Not gonna list all the "dont do"s, but basically any actions that make someone else feel lesser, unwanted or bad about themselves is not cool and also--fun fact!--not allowed! Pretty simple stuff, dont complicate it. Do unto others, yo.
As discussed above, predatory behavior will NOT be tolerated. This is a safe place for all members to socialize. If you meet someone and you hit it off, awesome for you! But don't join and start sending creepy messages to single folks. They will forward the message to us, and while we'll be flattered by the attention, we will also remove you from the group. This is not a dating club. Besides, it doesn't work and you will be booted! Play nice with others, Tarzan (or Jane).
Dont try to sign anyone up for Amway. Come on, man! Is that even still a thing?
Be active. You dont have to come to every event, but if you dont come to ANY events EVER we'll start thinking you dont like us. And that will make us sad. And why would you want to make us sad? You dont even know us!
If you sign up for an event, either show up OR let the organizer know you cant make it. We know life happens at the most inopportune moments. But organizers HATE it when people no-show with no communication. It makes us look stupid for blocking off a chair (no, this one is taken. They'll be here any moment) for you. Reach out, give a heads up.
Last but not least, save your drama for--yep, you guessed it--your mama (but also, dont do that to your mama. What kind of person dumps drama on their mama?). We're here to have fun, not have Jerry Springer moments. Just be nice and we'll all have a good time!
Sign up! Show up! Have fun!
