Note: No-shows from the previous events will be deprioritized. Unexplained cancellation on the day of the event will also be treated as a no-show.

Around 50% of the hike will be silent, so that participants get an opportunity to connect better with nature, present, as well as themselves. During the silent phases, participants are expected to adhere to the following:

  1. Assume you are alone: Avoid any conversation with other participants, including gestures or eye contact. Maintain at least 2 meters in distance between each other.
  2. Be in the moment: Focus on your breath, rhythm of footsteps, sounds of flora and fauna, wind, skin sensations, smells, temperature, etc.
  3. Help: For toilet break or any other help, feel free to contact the host.
  4. Greet: Feel free to reply with "Hello" in case locals greet you.

Depending on the composition and speed of the group (usually a medium pace of 4.5 Km/hr), the walking time should be around 4 hours.

We will take brief breaks for refreshments, but don't plan for coffee stops. Please bring your water, snacks, mosquito repellent, and dress suitably for the day's weather.

Please make every effort to be on time. I'm not a professional guide and according to Meetup rules not liable for anyone's safety. If you can't make it, please be respectful enough to update your confirmation of participation in a timely manner to give those in the waiting list a fair chance to prepare. See you! :)
