Chemical engineer Clementine Chambon is the co-founder and CTO at Oorja Development Solutions, a social enterprise that deploys mini-grids and community solar pumping systems to provide clean energy services (irrigation, power and cold storage) to farmers and businesses in rural India. This work has led to multiple awards including a Cisco Global Problem Solver Challenge Award, Echoing Green Climate Fellowship, and Clementine was listed on the Forbes 30 Under 30 Social Entrepreneurs and MIT Social Innovator of the Year lists in Europe.
Join us on the 19th November for a talk by Dr Chambon and the subsequent discussion on topics such as clean energy tech, disrupting the energy sector, and a chemical engineer's experience in building a social enterprise.
