AI Meetup Frankfurt March 2026
Details
Dear Community,
We are excited to welcome you to our upcoming AI meetup, which will be held in a hybrid format. You will find the Zoom credentials at the bottom of this description!
From agentic coding under real business constraints to demystifying data products and building scalable, AI-powered language simplification pipelines aligned with the latest EU accessibility regulations, this meetup brings together industry experts who are applying AI in production-relevant, business-critical environments.
We would like to thank our super sponsor Accso (Sigrun), for supporting the event and hosting our Meetup.
Agenda
18:00 – 18:10; Reception
18:10 – 18:20; A welcome note from Organiser & host/sponsor
18:15 - 19:00; Speakers: Ralf Kachel (Managing Director), Conré Fourie (Principal) from Accso
Title: Agentic Coding Under Real Constraints - Building a Business-Critical Dispatching System in 10 Weeks (Demo-ready)
Abstract: How does agentic engineering change the way we build business-critical software — especially the collaboration with domain experts and stakeholders?
In this talk, Accso presents a real-world case study from the rail domain: we implemented a complete dispatching system in ten weeks and presented it as a demo in a tender process (not a production rollout). We intentionally set ourselves a strong constraint: no manual typing/editing in the IDE, to explore the current capabilities and limitations of state-of-the-art agentic coding tools
19:00 - 19:30; Break (food & drinks)
19:30 - 20:00; Speaker II: Akshay Pimpalkar
Title: From Hallucination to Evidence: How Agentic RAG Makes LLMs More Trustworthy
Abstract: LLMs are impressive, but on their own they are limited: they lack current information, private context, and reliable grounding. In this talk, we’ll build up step by step from a plain LLM to a tool-using agent, then to RAG, and finally to agentic RAG systems that can route queries, retrieve from the right sources, and answer with evidence. Along the way, we’ll look at the practical building blocks that make these systems work, parsing, chunking, embeddings, metadata, and reranking, before ending with a case study from a legal document QA system, where accuracy without grounding is not enough. The goal is to leave you with a clear mental model for designing AI systems that are not just fluent, but trustworthy.
20:00 - 20:30; Speaker III: Dr. Umesh Patil
Title: Bootstrapping Accessible Language Using AI & Classical AI
Abstract: The European Accessibility Act (EAA) requires products and services in the EU to be accessible. Germany implements these obligations through the Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz (BFSG, in effect since June 28, 2025). BFSG explicitly includes the need for accessible information—i.e., service content that people can understand. This directly drives demand for language simplification, because organizations must provide instructions and service information that are comprehensible to users with different barriers and language skills. For German, language simplification is typically formalized along two dimensions: Einfache Sprache (Plain Language, DIN 8581-1:2024-05) for a broad audience, and Leichte Sprache (Easy Language, DIN SPEC 33429:2023-04) with stricter rules for higher accessibility needs. Traditional approaches rely on manual rewriting by specialist translators, which does not scale. At t2k GmbH, we address this by combining AI (fine-tuned smaller open weight LLMs such as Gemma-3) with classical NLP components — including word and sentence complexity detection and compound splitting — to build a controlled text transformation pipeline capable of producing user-tailored outputs across the full simplification spectrum.
20:30 - 20:45; Announcements
20:45 - Socializing
