Hi Guys,
I am very happy to announce our October meetup! :-) This time the topic will be Fintech. In 2014, FinTech became a buzz word. There was a tremendous amount of attention, venture investing activity and interest in new possibilities for financial services – from next-generation offerings to more customer-friendly experiences. Three Fintech startups from the Berlin scene will tell us more about their innovative products and how they will change the financial world. The schedule for this meetup is as follows:

19:00 till 19:30: Barzahlen, Florian Swoboda: “Omnichannel payment approach: how can I reach tomorrow the customers of yesterday?”
Omnichannel Commerce is the big trend across industries. Customer interaction across all channels is THE hot topic which keeps all decision makers around the world busy. Social media gets viral and spreads around the world very quickly, however many customers are not able to keep up with the speed of the innovation trends and are rather conservative in their payment and data sharing approach.
Barzahlen is an innovative fintech startup from Berlin, which helps companies adopt an omnichannel payment approach and thus increase their revenue in Germany by enabling their customers to purchase online and pay cash offline in one of the 9.000 retail stores they are partnering with. According to statistics from 2014 of the German Central Bank, 68% of the German based residents DO NOT use credit cards and 51% DO NOT have active online banking accounts. 79,1% of the retail payments in Germany are made in cash and only 1,3% with credit card.
Florian Swoboda, one of the three founders of Barzahlen will tell us the fascinating story of how Barzahlen managed to become the unique and only ONLINE CASH payment provider in the DACH region.
