We'll be meeting in person again, finally!

After a long time of quarantine, we're excited to invite you to join our next meetup. We will have two short talks (see below) and we'll have the opportunity to physically meet as a community and socialize again.

Short contributions and announcements from the audience are very welcome.
We want to be a diverse and inclusive group, please come, bring your friends. We're hoping for a nice crowd, interesting talks and chats.

Our generous sponsor and host Europace AG will prepare drinks and snacks for us.

See you there!

Please note that entrance will be open from 6:30pm and will close at 7pm sharp. Please be on time, otherwise there won't be anyone to open the door for you, unfortunately!

Talk 1: How NOT to screw up teaching R by Iegor Rudnytskyi

Description:
Data science is on its way to democratization, and now we need better trainers, instructors, and teachers more than ever. Of course, we are all passionate about programming and sharing our skills with the community. However, being good at programming does not necessarily imply being good at teaching. In this short talk, Iegor will share his dos, dont's, tips, tricks, and pitfalls that he has collected over eight years of teaching R.

Talk 2: Lessons learned from report automation in R by Rafael Camargo & Ivan Palmegiani

Description:
Some task automation are very straightforward but some others turn-out challenging. In this short talk, Rafael & Ivan will share their experience creating workflows and resources so that non-R experts could automate and customize reports using R Markdown.
