Biking in North Park

North Park will be the setting for our first June bike ride as we will tour beautiful North Park Lake by bicycle on Sunday, June 7th. The ride will begin at our gathering place, J C Stone Athletic Field parking lot, located on Lake Shore Drive, a short distance from Kummer Road. It has a large parking area. We will embark on a roughly eight-mile journey by going twice around North Park Lake, using the park’s dedicated bicycle lanes, starting along Lake Shore Drive and following the mostly flat, but partly hilly course along the lake’s shoreline!

BIKE RENTALS ARE AVAILABLE for this ride, at the Pro Bike & Run Shop (at Cadence Clubhouse) at 9999 Kummer Road, Allison Park 15101.

After completing a double loop around the Lake, we can enjoy a late lunch at the Over-The-Bar Bicycle Café, located at the North Park Boathouse, or we can choose a popular North Hills dining spot.
