Indian Classical Music & Meditation
Details
A special edition of Embodied Tea: an afternoon of shared silence, live music, and tea in the park.
We'll sit three quiet meditations of 20 minutes each — and this time, each sit will be carried in and out by live classical Indian singing. Voice before, between, and after every meditation: song, sit, song, sit, song, sit, song.
Our singers are Yogada and Hari. Yogada trained in Carnatic music for six years in childhood; Hari studies Carnatic voice at the Global Music Academy here in Berlin. Together they sing everything from Indian classical to pop, and their love for music of all kinds runs deep.
Throughout the afternoon we'll share free Taiwanese tea, brewed gongfu style — generously sponsored by our friends at XianCha Tea Berlin.
The gathering itself is free, as always. Donations for the visiting artists are warmly welcome; we suggest 15 € if you're able.
When: Sunday, 30 August, 13:00
Where: Volkspark Prenzlauer Berg — near the playground, see the map pin.
Bring something comfortable to sit on (blanket or cushion) and maybe a layer for after — we'll be outside the whole time. No meditation or music experience needed; come as you are.
