wolkenkit – your semantic JavaScript backend

Hey @all, we like to invite you to our monthly meetup at the trivago tower in Düsseldorf. In October, we have one talk:

Domain-driven design (DDD), CQRS, and event-sourcing go well together. While this may sound simple in theory, implementing them is pretty hard. This is because these concepts are just that: abstract concepts, and not concrete technologies.
It’s one thing to understand how they fit each other, but a completely different thing to actually use them in code. Unfortunately, guiding principles are rare, and there are lots of technological challenges that want to be solved.
A few years ago the native web was founded to deal with the question of how to make all this more accessible. The answer is wolkenkit (https://www.wolkenkit.io), an open-source framework written in JavaScript and Node.js, that builds on top of CQRS and event-sourcing, and that uses an event-driven model based on DDD.
Golo Roden will explain the concepts behind it, and show how things work.

Golo Roden (https://twitter.com/goloroden) is the founder and CTO of the native web GmbH (http://thenativeweb.io/), a company focused on web and cloud technologies. He favors JavaScript and Node.js for developing web applications, and he has written the first book in German language on this topic, called „Node.js & Co.“. Additionally, he works as an author for various IT magazines, and as a speaker and content manager for several conferences. For his high-quality engagement in the community he was given the Microsoft MVP award four times.
