Leonie Wolf, 3D Artist at Flying Sheep, will give a talk about why digital game therapy as depression treatment method has gained interest of researchers over the last fifteen years. What does a therapy game look like? What are its advantages and disadvantages over common depression treatment methods? In this talk she will demonstrate the effectiveness of digital game therapy, explain which gameplay elements game designers can use to create a therapy game and what the concept of “play” has to do with our mental health.

The #FemDevsMeetup is a free event. It aims to help building a strong network of female game enthusiasts in this industry. It is also open for women who are not part of the industry yet.
