Moin, dear hikers, let's do this perfect December hike, a circular tour east of Hamburg, near Geesthacht. First, we will walk crisscrossing through the nature reserve Sand Hills Besenhorst to find out what remains of the historic dynamite factory in this beautiful landscape. Then we continue on to the Elbe island, which we circumnavigate along its shore. And with a bit of luck, we'll take a nice break on the sandy beach. The tour ends at the Geesthacht, Besenhorst bus stop, where we also started. Please bring your own drinks and a snacks as needed. Friendly dogs are welcome if they are kept on a leash.

If you are using public transport from Hamburg to get to the starting point, take either the 8800 bus at 10:34 or the X82 bus at 10:42 from Bergedorf station. I will be at Bahnhof Bergedorf, bus platform F, by 10:30, where both buses depart. The hike starts on time at 11:00 (or at the latest after the arrival of the two buses mentioned) at the Geesthacht, Besenhorst bus stop.

Please play nice and only sign up if your are 100% sure that you will join! Unreliable people (no show or late cancellation) may be excluded from future events with limited capacity. Repeat offenders will be banned from the group.

As always, this is a free event, but voluntary donations are welcome and help me cover the costs of running the group. Nobody is expected to give, only do so if you can afford it and would like to. Look out for the violet donation box toward the end of the hike.
