What does home mean to you?
Is it a place, a person, or a feeling you carry within?
Having lived in Heidelberg for the past one and a half years, I am inviting you to this gathering to reflect on home through the lens of movement, migration, and belonging.
In this one-hour session, through guided reflections, shared moments, and mindfulness practices, we will touch upon what it means to leave, arrive, to root, and to re-root. We will explore the many and changing meanings of “home.”
What to expect:
- A gentle pause to slow down and reconnect
- A short “home” meditation inspired by Thich Nhat Hanh
- Optional sharing in a mindful, supportive circle
- A mindful eating practice with a taste of home, connecting senses, memory, and belonging through flavor
A gentle invitation:
Please bring something that represents “home” for you. It could be a word, a story, a photograph, something to taste, or any small object or a feeling that evokes your personal sense of home.
A pot of herbal tea will accompany our shared time together.
