On some days I would go to a record store, spend 2 hours going through familiar and never-heard-of artists, give it a listen in store or search it up on Spotify or Bandcamp. If I liked it, I would go to the record’s label on Discogs to see other works by the same label, and go on Wikipedia to see the label, artist’s biography, related artists, etc. On other days, I would put on NTS Radio or random DJ sets from Soundcloud and Shazam the tracks that I liked, then search it up. This is how I discover new music, artists, labels, producers, genres, histories, etc.

People call this “music digging”.

If you relate to, or find this process interesting, please join us to dig music together. This is a small, focused session to learn from each other and enjoy music. We are going to start with an album picked by the host as the starting point, and then YOU get to choose your rabbit-hole — which path you want to take to dig further. You are going to see how each person arrives at a different destination.
No matter what type of music you like or what music background do you have, you are welcomed to join if you:

  • enjoy searching for music
  • like to listen, and is willing to sit down to do some research
  • want to share and express your ideas

This event will be conducted in English.
Expect moments of quiet listening and independent exploration.
How to join:

  • DM one of the hosts Yuki or Sabrina
  • Pay a €5 deposit (refunded if you attend), and join our Whatsapp group
  • Bring your own online digging device (laptop or tablet preferred, phone is okay) and headphones
