Week 3: The Soul

What is the difference between soul and spirit? Does each of us have our own separate soul, or are we fragments of one single soul? Does a stone have a soul?
In this five-week yoga series, we explore the relationship between philosophy and yoga. Drawing from both Western and Eastern philosophical traditions, we bring philosophical questions into dialogue with traditional yoga practices - not to find answers, but to open a shared space for reflection and experience.

As a concept, soul touches on many themes such as the self, life force and consciousness. When the subject turns to spiritualism and yoga, speaking about the soul becomes almost inevitable.

Because it can so easily drift into the realm of metaphysics, there has been a centuries-long effort to discuss the concept of the soul within a philosophical framework — to make it tangible through language.

The nuanced differences between Eastern and Western perspectives offer a particularly rich and enjoyable field of exploration. In this series, we will embark on such a journey.✨
In the second half of our gathering, we will explore breathwork — practices deeply intertwined with the concept of the soul,
and a yoga flow.
