■ Event Outline
Hi there!!
The "Mid-Autumn Festival" is a traditional East Asian holiday that falls in the lunar calendar on the 15th day of the eighth month. During this time, the moon is believed to be at its fullest and brightest, symbolizing unity and harmony. Families and friends gather to celebrate and enjoy the sight of the full moon.
One of the iconic treats associated with the Mid-Autumn Festival is the "mooncake" or "moon dango". These round pastries have a rich history and diverse fillings, ranging from sweet to savory. They symbolize the moon's fullness and are exchanged as gifts among loved ones, symbolizing good wishes and strengthening bonds. We will eat the iconic moon dango and other sweets at this event while drinking teas and matcha.
