Alignment & Autonomy in Scaling Agile

At large scale it’s always a challenge to find the right way between being aligned and having enough autonomy to be really self-organized or self-managed. Agile scaling frameworks try to solve that. LeSS looks like it would give more autonomy while e.g. SAFe is seen as achieving more alignment. Both views are an illusion!
Alignment or autonomy achieved by a concept, framework or planning activity is always a speculation, it might become different in future. What we need is an empirical proof of autonomy and alignment independent from the chosen framework.
In this LeSS meetup session Mark Bregenzer will give an impulse presentation on the essentials of alignment and autonomy. With whom should you be aligned, the importance of autonomy for solving complex problems and how to balance both in a maybe surprising but empirical way.
After the presentation (approx. 30 min. with interactions) we will use a fishbowl discussion to exchange our experiences from different contexts, getting new insights and deepen our understanding on how to balance between alignment and autonomy.
