Hi! I'm planning to meet new friends while trying out some of Manchester's bars, clubs and other cool places. I want the group to be an opportunity to meet people, see some of Manchester, perhaps see some live singers and DJs and possibly try out the newer places that are recently opened. More to the point I want people to be able to form new friendships in the city.
The emphasis in this group is more about staying out late, in contrast to the 7-11pm type meetups, of which there are plenty. Nothing wrong with them, but this one will be different.

Day Time Disco: Michael Gray
YES, 38 Charles St, Greater Manchester, GBI can't wat for the weekend to begin. A weekend in the middle of April, in particular. That's when Michael Gray, producer behind 2004 hit The Weekend, performs a set with Daytime Disco, a series of disco-house themed afternoon clubbing events in Joshua Brooks. Last month The Shapeshifters were hosting, whose hit Lola's Theme was high in the charts the same summer. Great music, friendly crowd, proper underground house venue. I'm keen to do it again. Tickets are already on final release at £17, so let's act fast.
Remember this is daytime so no freezing 2am taxis, drunk bellends in kebab shops or disrupted sleep patterns! Refreshing! Let's meet in nearby Yes near the entrace.

Athens Sessions in Bar Shrimp
Bar Shrimp, 7 New York St, Manchester, GBBar Shrimp opened a few months ago offering great cocktails, chilled house music and seafood. I've not been to the venue yet, tucked away in the financial district in Manchester. On Sunday, Radar Athens takes over the decks. I expect it'll be underground house music that none of us will be familiar with, but it'll be fresh and unique.
The timing is listed as 5pm-2am, but how much of that will actually have a crowd? I have no idea. I suggest we meet in there at 8 and see how things go.
