Power

The discussion topic of this meetup is power in its various forms and facettes. We will look at what defines power and what role it plays in our society and personal lives.
Amongst others, we will look at the following questions:
• What is power? Where does it come from? Why does it exist? Is it necessary for our lives?
• What are the sources of power? What makes a person more or less powerful than the other?
• In our everyday lives where do we encounter power? When do we suffer from it? When do we exert it over other people?
• What role does power play in our societies? Can it be exerted in an ethical way that does not involve harm to others? Can we evade power in its various forms?
