Learn to play the ancient boardgame: Monthly 9x9 Go for beginner

Have you ever wondered how to play Go, the three thousand year-old Boardgame that originated in China and became the most highly regarded intelligence game in East Asia?
If you play chess, do you want to know what is the difference between chess and Go and why computer can only beat human in Go, 20 years after deep blue has beaten Kasparov?
Do you know that there is an easier way to get to know this artful game in black and white, without immediately committing hours to finish a 19x19 game?If you are curious, you are cordially invited to join our beginner's evening game at Scheidsplatz, organized by Bavarian Go Club (Bayerischer Go-Verein). Every first Tuesday of the month, you can join the 9x9 workshop to learn the rules to play this ancient game. Our experienced go players will give an introduction and guide you through your first game!

Wenn du Schach spielst: Möchtest du wissen, worin der Unterschied zwischen Schach und Go besteht und warum Computer erst 20 Jahre nach „Deep Blue vs. Kasparov“ in der Lage waren, Menschen im Go zu schlagen?
Wusstest du, dass es einen einfacheren Weg gibt, dieses kunstvolle Spiel in Schwarz und Weiß kennenzulernen, ohne sofort Stunden auf ein 19x19-Spiel verwenden zu müssen?
Wenn du neugierig bist, laden wir dich herzlich zu unserem Anfängerabend am Scheidplatz ein, organisiert vom Bayerischen Go-Verein. An jedem ersten Dienstag im Monat kannst du an unserem 9x9-Workshop teilnehmen und die Regeln dieses alten Spiels lernen. Unsere erfahrenen Spieler geben eine Einführung und begleiten dich durch deine erste Partie!

We will celebrate our passion of puzzle and mystery in one special boardgame evening this summer. This event will be a combination of boardgame x city escape room game quiz (prize value over €100), a shout-out of the beta labs and our beloved boardgame evening.
The timetable:

20:00-23:00 Boardgame evening🧩 Puzzle Quiz:
Teams sign up on-site (max 4 people per team). The quiz runs 30–45 minutes and covers four categories — one all about the hidden sites and stories from Munich (yes, the ones from the escape game), plus three classic board-game related categories.🏆 Prize details:
Any team can participate to win a small prize for the quiz itself. But if your team has solved every puzzle in Secret Society in Munich: The Test of Lion — all of it, including the hidden ones— you'll qualify for a special gift made for puzzle fans. (Scroll to the end to see the FAQs)

After the beta lab, we roll straight into our usual board game evening as always. Whether you like to play games such as codename or exploding kittens with a large group or you enjoy heavy strategic games, you will find the right table for you!To cover the room rent for the events, we will be asking 2 EUR contribution from the participants as usual.
FAQ1: How to qualify for the special prize?
Teams (at least 1 player from the team) will need to solve all the puzzles of the Questo game: Secret Society in Munich: Test of the Lion. Haven't played yet? You've got until August 14 to explore Munich and crack the case.
