Let's rent a cinema... again! 🍿🎉 Private screening & chats w/ Cinema Lovers
Details
UPDATE: We've voted in the WhatsApp community and decided to watch Sinners (2025) on our 7 March event. Thanks to everybody for suggesting movies and voting! The language of the movie will be English.
CW: Seems to be a pretty intense / scary film. Check IMDB's parental guide beforehand if you have problems with visually depicted violence.
---
It's finally time to rent a cinema again for a private screening and celebrate 400 members (100 more than last time)! 🎉
You read that right, we're renting a cinema! We'll do so in traditional Munich Cinema Lovers fashion: We'll watch a movie together, and discuss and socialize afterwards. It doesn't matter if you've been to one of our events before, everybody is welcome!
---
But a few important things first:
- Please register by filling out this form: https://forms.gle/znVQnDh9oxpmrpx19, then attend on Meetup afterwards.
- Ignore the waitlist, the real limit for this event is 40 people. The 10 person limit only exists due to Meetup's restrictions for free plans. You're welcome to join if you've filled out the registration form and received a confirmation mail! The event text will also be updated when the event is full.
- Have fun and bring some friends if you want! The more the merrier :)
- We'll vote for the movie we'll watch together at the event in our WhatsApp group. You can find a link to join in the registration form. The vote opens on Feb 18 and closes on Feb 21. (Edit: Delayed the start of the vote a few days)

Tickets
Since I (Ben) need to pay rent to the cinema, I need to charge a small entry fee. You'll find a payment link in the registration form:
- 10 € Supporter Ticket: this allows me to host more big events like this one in the future, and it pays for the Low Income option.
- 5 € Normal Ticket
- 0 € Low Income Ticket (yes, it's really free!): Please only choose this option if you need it. But nobody should be excluded from this event.
---
No matter what movie we vote for, it's guaranteed to be international-friendly (either English or with English subtitles)!
---
Schedule
1:30 PM | Event starts & pre-movie chats
2:00 PM | Movie starts
4:00 PM | Time for discussions and chatting
5:00 PM | Official End
---
Please keep some things in mind:
- Please behave, both in the cinema and outside. There's a zero-tolerance policy for sexism, racism, homophobia or any other hurtful behavior. Anything of the sorts will result in a ban. If you notice something, please bring it to my attention.
- Please update your RSVP if you can't make it. It takes a lot of time and effort to plan those events.
- Have fun and let's enjoy a good night of cinema!
---
I'm excited to see you all there! 😊
