### Stay Connected
Visit **neurodivergentdistrict.com** to explore upcoming events, resources, and ways to stay involved.
### Who We Are
Neurodivergent District is a welcoming community for neurodivergent adults in the Washington, D.C. area who want real connection, supportive friendships, and a place to belong. You don’t need a formal diagnosis to join — if you relate to neurodivergence or are simply looking for kind, understanding people, you’re invited.
Many members also choose to deepen their involvement through Constellations, our extended community and support program, which offers additional connection, resources, and guidance.
### About the Organizer
Neurodivergent District was founded by Kate Inez Harrington, a neurodivergent-affirming matchmaker and coach who creates inclusive spaces for adults to build meaningful relationships.
You can learn more about her work at harringtonmatchmaking.com.
### Our Community Values
We aim to create a space that feels safe, respectful, and encouraging.
That means:
- Being kind and patient with one another
- Respecting different communication styles and needs
- Treating everyone with dignity
Harassment, discrimination, or bullying of any kind is not allowed.
### Staying in Touch & Supporting the Community
We use a WhatsApp group to stay connected between events, since Meetup messages can sometimes get missed. We highly recommend joining.
If you’re able, donations help keep Neurodivergent District running. Meetup alone costs us close to $50 per month, and that doesn’t include the time and care that go into hosting events, planning gatherings, responding to inquiries, coordinating venues, or covering space and activity fees.
Your support helps keep our community accessible, affordable, and sustainable.
### Do I Have to Be Single?
Not at all. Many people join simply to make friends and find community.
If you are single and interested in dating, you’re welcome to join our free singles database. or member to member group coaching and matchmaking program.
No matter your relationship status, you’re valued here — and we’re glad you found us.

Constellations: Conversation Practice for Autistic Adults
·OnlineOnlineOccasionally we invite Neurodivergent District members to join in on workshops designed for Kate's Constellations community. Please know that joining this free class does not grant you access to the Constellations member portal or make you a member of Constellations. We invite you to join Harrington Matchmaking's Constellations program for virtual offerings like this one + the opportunity to be matched with other members for friendships and/or dating.
Join a structured virtual group that meets every other Wednesday and Sunday to build conversational skills, friendship readiness, and confidence in a supportive, coach-led environment designed especially for neurodivergent adults with little to no relationship experience or who struggle with conversation. While all are welcome, most participants are between ages 20 and 45, often living with family or in supported or semi-independent settings, and are seeking a safe, low-pressure place to practice. Sessions include guided practice, optional sharing, and feedback, with primarily virtual meetings and occasional in-person gatherings in the Washington, DC area. Participate as much or as little as you feel comfortable doing so.
