The Wine List - Notes will be provided at dinner:

2022 Domaine de Vaccelli Quartz ($70) - From Corscia. No reviews, but here is what the importer said, "This is just the fifth vintage of Gérard's new baby from the young vine Carcaghjolu blanc, Ghjenuvese, Cudiverta, and Riminese that he planted from Abbatucci's heirloom holdings, co-fermented and aged in a single demi-muid barrel. He tells me that it is a bit rounder and fruitier than the old vine Vermentino that informs his Granit blanc, but that it is already exhibiting a precision and sense of mineral underpinnings that prove quite exciting. I am very glad to have so much to spread around, as the demand here always waaay outpaces supply" FWIW, I had a bottle of the 2021 and was blown away!

2022 Domaine François Buffet Pinot Noir Bourgogne ($25) - From the importer, "As always, good Bourgogne rouge is a great way to get to know a house style.....this hails from two parcels in Volnay: Condemaine and Longbois. The freshly bottled '22 Bourgogne has already had rave reviews from those of you who got some from last year's offer, as I am now sold out after people came back and cleaned me out. Marc-Olivier tells me that he is particularly satisfied with this one, given the tricky nature of the much cooler '21 vintage. The incredibly low yields helped to give this the needed ripeness, and it should be a wine that fans of crunchy red fruited, higher acidity Burgundy wines will be glad to have on hand. $25 Bourgogne rouge from a good house is hard to knock......"

2022 Domaine Michel Lafarge Bourgogne ($45) - Jasper Morris, Five Star Wine Reviews (89-92) points, "Mid crimson. A deliciously perfumed bouquet of grapes picked at perfect ripeness. Starts with an agreeable pure pinot then kicks on, with extra concentration at the back of the palate. Tannins nicely folded in. Harmonious. Tasted Dec 2023."

2021 Domaine Vincent Paris Cornas Granit 60 ($50) - CT 92.4, for some reason, WA skipped the 2019, 2020 and 2021 vintages, but they have always given this Northern Rhone wine at least 91 points. Vinous 91 points, "The 2021 Cornas Granit 60 is a terrific result from this challenging vintage. Slightly reductive at first, swishing the glass gradually unlocks a red-fruited profile. Leafy undertones, forest floor and cured meat elements add more contrast. Medium-bodied, concentrated and remarkably refreshing, the 2021 finishes on a savory note. (Drink between 2025-2032)"

2018 Raul Pérez Petit Verdot Valtuille ($45) - Our lone Spanish wine of the night, and I'm pouring it last because last time in needed a lot of time to open up. But when it did open up, it was a very good wine (I gave it 92 points).
