I am going to create a WA group for coordination.

We'll meet at 08:10 at Munich Hauptbahnhof and take the RB55 to Schliersee at 08:29, then bus 362 to Spitzingsattel (arrival 10:15). We'll hike through alpine meadows with stunning views of the Brecherspitz and Spitzingsee to the legendary Rotwandhaus (1,737m) - one of the most scenic mountain huts in the Bavarian Alps. We'll stop for lunch at Rotwandhaus. Please bring cash for lunch.

⚠️ Important weather warning: The Rotwandhaus area sits between two peaks and is extremely exposed to strong winds. Expect harsh alpine conditions. The first time I was there unprepared, the smile literally froze on my face - but I'm still here writing this, so you'll survive too. Just bring proper gear and don't be a hero.

Expectations: Only sign up if you actually want to participate. If you signed up, show up. Cancel at least 24 hours in advance if plans change. Be on time.

The Deutschlandticket is valid on this route. If you don't have one, you'll need to purchase a valid train ticket yourself.

Please bring:

• A smile and good mood
• Proper hiking boots
• Hiking spikes & gaiters (conditions may be icy/snowy in January)
• Weather-appropriate clothing
• Enough water and snacks
• Cash for lunch
• Charged mobile phone
• Headlamp (just in case)
• Optionally a small first aid kit
