In this workshop, we’ll build a complete Azure Automation environment that’s ready to use and built to scale. Step by step, we’ll set everything up so you walk away with a clean, secure, and flexible setup you can use in real environments, cloud or on-prem.
We’ll start from scratch, set up the Automation Account, and connect it to source control like GitHub. You’ll use Visual Studio Code to develop and manage your runbooks in a way that’s easy to maintain and update.
We’ll also go through setting up Hybrid Workers so you can run scripts inside your local infrastructure. That’s useful when certain systems or tasks need to stay on-prem.
Security is a key part of this workshop. You’ll learn how to handle secrets with Azure Key Vault, use managed identities for authentication, and manage credentials and variables in a secure and reusable way.
By the end, you’ll have a working automation setup that’s ready for real use, easy to manage, and prepared for future growth. Everything we cover is based on real-life scenarios and practical experience.
