Astronomy | Space Museum & 360° Planetarium Experience

Astronomic news everyone,

ESO Supernova is a new planetarium centre (including a museum) located on the Garching Research Campus, close to Munich. They offer a wide range of experiences, planetarium shows and tours related to cosmology and astronomy.

Let's first visit their museum and then the planetarium show "Europes Way to the Stars" together, a 360° cinema experience about Europes endeavours detecting new parts of the universe. This show will be in English Language.

Important: Tickets (6,50 EUR) are required to attend this experience and need to be purchased in advance, directly here on the ESO Supernova website:

Currently (Feb 15th, 2024), there are 74 seats left. If you want, you can focus on rows 4 and 5 when you select and book your seat(s), so we kind of have a common area for our group.

Schedule:

- We meet at 2pm at the ESO entrance to have a 1h walk through their museum (which is really worth seeing!). The museum is free of charge.

- At 3pm we gather again in the ESO entrance area to get ready to be guided to the planetarium room.

- The planetarium show then starts at 3:30pm. If you only want to come for the planetarium show, meet us in the entrance area at 3pm latest (we need to be in the entrance area at least 30min before the show starts).

- Planetarium show ends at 4:20pm
