Arete is a slow dating app built around intention, presence, and depth. Instead of endless swiping and surface-level matches, Arete is designed to help people slow down and focus on one meaningful connection at a time. The app prioritizes authenticity over performance, encouraging users to show up as they are and engage with curiosity and care. At its core, Arete is about going deeper, not wider—creating space for real conversations, emotional presence, and connections that feel grounded rather than gamified.

Once inside, connections happen through matching rooms—small, shared spaces where a few people are thoughtfully brought together. Our first matching room will take place on Thursday at 19h and is currently open to people based in Berlin only. From there, one-to-one matches can grow naturally through conversation.
