Hello Everyone! 🌞
Come on and join us for a trip to the beautiful Bavarian alpine foreland, not even an hour from Munich by train!
We’ll meet in the charming town of Schliersee, where our hike to the Schliersberg Mountain begins. As we ascend, we’ll be treated to breathtaking views of Lake Schliersee, a picturesque alpine lake nestled between the alpine foothills. Our trail then leads us into a serene forest, winding along beautiful woodland paths 🌲🌱🌳
The peak of Schliersberg Mountain is covered by forest, so we’ll continue our hike to the Schliersbergalm Mountain Restaurant. From there, we’ll again enjoy stunning panoramic views of the lake. At the restaurant, we can enjoy traditional Bavarian cuisine and refreshing beverages 🥨🍻🍹
For our journey back down to Schliersee Town, we have three options:
- We can hike
- Take the cable car
- Or enjoy an exhilarating ride on the summer toboggan (see photos attached).
Hike Details (when descending by foot):
- Hiking Duration: 3-4 hours
- Hiking Distance: 9,6 km
- Elevation Gain: 480 m
- Elevation Loss: 480 m
- Difficulty: Intermediate
Meeting Point 📍:
We’ll meet in front of Schliersee Station at 10:25 AM. The train leaves at Munich main station at 09:29 AM in front of platform 34. You need to hop on the very first train part that heads to Bayrischzell (NOT Lenggries and NOT Tegernsee). Get off the train at Schliersee (ETA 10:25 AM). I will not be on the train, since I live in Schliersee. I will wait for you at Schliersee station. Look for me in a yellow jacket to easily spot me 😊
Please note:
- A donation is welcomed at the end (between 10-20€ per person) 💛
- Each person is responsible for purchasing their own tickets for the train, cable car or summer toboggan
- This is a guided event with hiking guide. Participants are still responsible for their own safety.
