Where Should We Begin? A game of stories

Human beings are natural storytellers.
Long before social media bios or resumes, we were conveying ideas, values, narratives and emotions through personal stories; knowing that at least one detail would echo in others.

For our first event, we will play a modified version of the card game “Where Should We Begin?”.

We’ve tweaked the rules so we can learn something new about ourselves, look past first impressions, and realize that people are usually far more interesting than they seem at first.

What you can expect:

• No boring talk: We’re skipping the "What do you do for a living?" and going straight to the questions that actually matter.
• Connect with peers who are eager thinkers, questioners and enjoy exploring their inner world

Ensuring psychological safety:

• As in any group of curious people, participants may ask you personal questions. Listen to yourself and only share what feels right for you
• Listen from a place of curiosity, and refrain from expressing judgement towards other participants

🚫 What this space is not:

• Group therapy: as much as personal shares are welcome, please be aware that we are not trained therapists
• An extractive space: this is about mutual generosity; come ready to give, not just take

  Otherwise, come as you are. No prep needed, just bring your brain, heart and maybe a little bit of honesty.
