Sustainable production: actively shaping the ecological transformation with Industrie 4.0
Speaker: Prof. Dr. Peter Post, Vice President at Festo and Head of the Task Force Industry 4.0 & Sustainability
Short description: In its 2030 Vision, Plattform Industrie 4.0 identifies sustainability as a key field of action. Sustainable Industrie 4.0 solutions not only help to achieve the climate targets of the German government and the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations, they are also increasingly becoming an important competitive factor on the global market. With this in mind, the platform’s Industrie 4.0 and Sustainability Task Force has discussed over 60 business examples and formulated three paths towards a digital, networked and sustainable manufacturing industry of the future. Peter Post will draw upon these paths combined with practical examples and outline the planned way ahead regarding the sustainability pillar and work of the task force.
Target Group: Interested parties who want to get a first overview on the relation between industry 4.0 and sustainability and advanced professionals in this field
