Short movies afternoon@Lusofest OF

Let’s check out the Movie Festival of Portuguese Language, Lusofest, in Offenbach.

The event title is a little misnomer, as this event shows medium duration, not short movies. All movies are in Portuguese with English subtitles, except the first one German/engl subtitles.

Today‘s program shown in blocks of 2 movies, are 4 movies between 22 and 35 mins. The topics of the 4 movies are Sexism in the Football business, a teenager helping illegal migrant workers, a science-fiction musical and (the only documentary) the struggle of a traditional Fado bar to survive in tourist-flooded Lisbon.

Before the first block and after the second block of screenings the Darmstadt-based singer-songwriter Julakim will perform a few songs.

The movies will start at 15:00, and the concert around 14:30, we meet during the concert around 14:45, feel free to also come earlier.

Entrance is free, organisers will collect donations which are for the venues.

The venue, a few walking minutes from S-Bahn stop Ledermuseum, is small, hence the participant limit. There is nothing mentioned of drinks/food being sold but we can grab some food after the screening before going back to Frankfurt.
