In our ongoing tour through world literature, we’ve now arrived in Hungary — to dive into Satantango, a haunting and mesmerizing novel by Nobel Prize–winning author László Krasznahorkai.

This masterpiece takes us into a decaying village where time seems to stand still, exploring the complexities of human despair, hope, and illusion. Krasznahorkai’s long, flowing sentences and dark humor create a reading experience unlike any other.

We’ll meet at a cozy café, sip warm drinks, and share our thoughts in good company. Our club already has a wonderful group of around 20 active members, and we’re always welcoming a few new, passionate readers to join us through Meetup.
