Vaadin summer Meetup Northern Germany (#6)

Ich freue mich auf euch beim sechsten Vaadin-Meetup in Hamburg!

Egal ob ihr neu seid oder erfahrene Entwickler und Meetup-Teilnehmer: ihr seid richtig ;-)

Die Idee ist ein Forum zu schaffen für Diskussionen unter Kolleginnen/Kollgen, für Erfahrungs-Austausch, neue Ideen und Feedback. Für Vaadin-Neulinge ist hier die Chance, die Technologie und die Community kennen zu lernen; Experten gehen mit neuen Ideen nach Hause - und bringen welche mit.

Wir haben bisher eine unglaubliche Palette abgedeckt - von GWT über infinite Scrolling und Domain Driven Development bis IoT mit Vaadin, und sicher bringt ihr dieses Mal auch wieder großartige Themen mit. Deshalb: wagt euch vor! Ihr trefft eine freundliche Runde; Thema und Länge sind euch überlassen. Schickt mir kurz eine Mail an sebastian.rothbucher@akquinet.de zwecks ein wenig Planung. Bin gespannt auf die Vorschläge…!

Ansonsten ist immer die Chance, spontan eine Frage an die Runde zu stellen - irgendwer weiß sicher was ;-)

Die Zeit ist dieses Mal früher (wir werden abwechseln) - und Anreise-freundlich. Das Meetup ist am 20. Juni (ein Montag; Deutschland spielt nicht) um 15:00 im Innungsflügel (Raum 512-514) der Handwerkskammer HH, Holstenwall 12. U-Bahn Gänsemarkt, St. Pauli, Messehallen und Rödingsmarkt sind in der Nähe, eine Bushaltestelle vor der Tür. Für Autofahrer: Es ist (tatsächlich!) kein DOM, Parken sollte z.B. neben den Fliegenden Bauten möglich sein (außer der EM-Wahnsinn macht uns einen Strich durch die Rechnung); sonst ist unter der HWK in jedem Fall auch ein Parkhaus.

Ein Code of Conduct (http://couchdb.apache.org/conduct.html ist eine gute Basis) wird uns helfen, die offene, positive Community zu bleiben, die wir sind. Nach wie vor: wenn ihr Fragen habt oder Hilfe braucht, sprecht / mailt mich gern an.

Fühlt euch frei, die Einladung weiterzuleiten!

Letztes Mal hatten wir sogar Fotos – wenn jemand von euch nicht fotografiert werden will: sagt es einfach zu Beginn, es ist natürlich OK.

Wir sorgen (wie immer) für Raum, Snacks & Getränke ;-)

Ich bin mir sicher, dieses Meetup wird mindestens so gut wie die davor – durch euch! Ich freue mich darauf, euch am 20. Juni zu sehen. Bis dahin…

[Nachtrag] Wir haben schon Themen, aber brauchen noch mehr: deshalb: stellt etwas vor oder bringt eine Frage mit (und sagt mir kurz Bescheid). Es wird gut - ich freue mich drauf!

[Nachtrag] Es sind mittlerweile drei fantastische Talks (Vaadin für große Anwendungen - e.g. NoSQL, Dashboard mit Gadgets mit Vaadin, Patterns für effizientes Vaadin) - ich freue mich auf jeden davon, und auf euch! (nach wie vor gibt es auch die Chance, eine Frage in die Runde zu stellen. Und es gibt Zeit für Gespräche und Networking)

Let's meet and have a great time at the 6th Vaadin meetup in Hamburg! No matter whether newbie or experienced dev: join us for sharing ideas, for getting inspired and for receiving feedback.

We covered lots of topics in the last four meetups (ranging from GWT to Infinite Scrolling to Domain Driven Development to IoT with Vaadin). I'm sure you'll bring amazing ideas again this time - so this is a call to action: step up and present something! You'll stand in front of a friendly forum - so no worries, it'll be great. How long and about what is up to you really (just drop me a short note at sebastian.rothbucher@akquinet.de so I can plan a little). Looking fw 2 your submissions...!

Plus: you'll always have the chance to ask a question to the community - certainly someone will know something ;-)

We alternate between early and late meetups - this is an EARLY one. Date is Mon, June 20th at 3pm (15:00h). It takes place at HWK hamburg (room 512-514), Holstenwall 12, Hamburg. Public transport is close by (Gänsemarkt, St. Pauli, Messehallen and Rödingsmarkt subway stations; a bus stop is right outside the building). When coming by car: there is no DOM then (yes, really!) and you should be able to park near Fliegende Bauten (except EM craze prevents that). Alternatively (and even with EM), there is a garage right below the HWK building as well.

A Code of Conduct (http://couchdb.apache.org/conduct.html is a good starting point) certainly going to help us stay the open and positive community we are. As ever: if you have questions or concerns or need help do not hesitate to talk to me or mail me.

Last times, some people took photos. If you don’t want to be photographed: just say so at the beginning, it’s OK, off course.

[addition] We have three amazing talk now (Vaadin for big applications - e.g. NoSQL, Dashboard w/Gadgets w/Vaadin, Patterns 4 efficient Vaadin) and I'm really looking forward to each of them - and to you! (There will still be the chance to ask a question to the community, there will be time for networking and conversation).
