Bottom of Pacific Mole Crab. The "beak" looking part is a Telson. It is at the tail end of the crab. The mole crab rapidly digs into the sand with the telson to get beneath the surf & predator birds.
Pacific Mole Crab (Emerita analoga) Also known as Sand flea (not a True Sand Flea) & Sand Crab. They live in the swash zone & can burrow into sand in seconds. They can give a very minor pinch. About 1 3/8" long.
