This time they employed a fly-on-the-wall point of view to explore the struggle over abortion. The film 12th & Delaware utilizes a street intersection in Fort Pierce, Florida, to illustrate the deep ideological divide between two camps of thought. The metaphor emanates from the physical proximity of two facilities located across the road from each other. One is an abortion clinic called A Woman's World. The other is an office named the Pregnancy Care Center that purchased a building in 1999, eight years after A Woman's World opened. ***FRI OCT 28 at 9AM-12PM  " SANDAG Regional Transportation Plan Committee VOTE TO APPROVE e the $217 Billion Plan Meeting"  We want to be there to tell them their work is not yet doneWe need your help with, the Regional Transportation Plan. As you may recall, getting a plan that complies with state emissions requirements was our first demand – because transportation produces a whopping 46% of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in San Diego County.  That’s where you come in. We want to fill the room with San Diego County residents to say “You must comply with California’s climate change regulations and you must act in the best interest of your constituents”. We’ll have talking points available shortly. SANDAG (the group of SD County Mayors & Supervisors that controls the $ and the plan), has ignored most comments and requests from environmentalists, transportation experts and most recently the Attorney General’s office calling on them to revise the plan to comply with the GHG reduction requirements required by the state. We have three main goals: 1) we want to make sure that when SANDAG flouts California’s GHG standards and goals that we call them out on it (we can get press attention if we have a good # of people there); 2) we want to support the attorney general’s efforts to bring the RTP for San Diego County into compliance; 3) we want to ratchet up the debate for future updates of the plan. WHERE:  SANDAG’s offices by City Hall (SANDAG Board Room 401 B Street, 7th Floor). Please put it on your calendar and let us know if you can be there Contact Masada Disenhouse : [masked] or email:  [address removed] – we need to know how many signs to make).
