What we’re about
Thank you for checking out our group. Active Singles Adventures has been in San Diego for 36 years now. We used to be Athletic Singles Association but changed our name so as not to intimidate anyone (and because a person didn't need to be "athletic" to enjoy our group). But we are still "ASA" and we have opened up our events on Meetup.
We continue to organize interesting social and active events so you can come out and meet our travelers and consider coming on one of our trips which we run as Singles in Paradise.
Meet fellow adventurous singles near you! Come to our Meetup to meet us, share stories and get first-hand recommendations on new exotic destinations. Find fun, laughs and maybe even a new travel buddy! Check out http://www.singlesinparadise.comfor all the details on our trips.
Our typical trip consists of 40 singles. We recently traveled to Italy, Tahiti, Kenya, China, Costa Rica, Belize, Honduras, Greece, Amsterdam, Belgium, Ireland, Galapagos and other exotic destinations - all with experienced guide and terrific group rates. For more information on our trips you can check out http://www.singlesinparadise.com

- SPAIN WITH BARCELONA, MALLORCA AND SEVILLEBarcelona, Barcelona, CT
SPAIN: BARCELONA, MALLORCA, AND SEVILLE APRIL 16-28, 2024
11-Nights, 4-star properties With Air - Just $3,650This trip has been months in the planning and is what we proudly feel is now worthy of our audience. It will make for an amazing journey for sure, taking us to Barcelona for 3-nights, Mallorca for 4-nights and Seville for 4-nights.
We start off in Barcelona for our first 3 nights. The first human settlements in Barcelona date back to Neolithic times. The city itself was founded by the Romans who set up a colony called Barcino at the end of the 1st century BC. The 20th century ushered in widespread urban renewal throughout Barcelona city, culminating in its landmark Eixample district. The Catalan Antoni Gaudí, one of the most eminent architects, designed buildings such as the Casa Milà (known as La Pedrera, the Catalan for stone quarry), the Casa Batlló and the Sagrada Família church, which have become world-famous landmarks. Overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, Barcelona is one of Europe’s trendiest cities. Much of the activity revolves around Las Ramblas, a series of narrow streets and alleys packed with restaurants, nightclubs and a vibrant pedestrian market.
Next up is Mallorca. We'll have 4-nights to explore and enjoy this beautiful island. For many years Mallorca has been a favorite nautical destination for Europeans and Spanish people due to a variety of reasons. But the main reason is that it is an extraordinarily beautiful place in the Mediterranean, with crystal-clear waters and an ideal weather.
Mallorca is the largest of the Balearic Islands and has many interesting attractions for tourists. Our hotel is ideally located in the harbor, just a few minutes' walk from the Old Towne in Palma. Attractions in and around Palma de Mallorca include the city's dramatic seafront Cathedral (La Seu) - which was constructed in the 13th century and took almost 400 years to complete; the Parc de la Mar - a tiered park offering splendid views of the waterfront; and the grand Almudaina Palace - a formal royal residence dating back almost 700 years. There are many museums in Mallorca, offering interesting information about the island and its history, which dates back to ancient times and boasts traces of Roman and Arab civilizations. Appealing art galleries are also present on Mallorca, exhibiting various works of art, such as the Museu d'Art Espanyol Contemporani, which has paintings by Pablo Picasso, Joan Miro and Salvador Dali.
Our 4-star hotel here is situated on the harbor a short walk into the main old town area and we have paid an extra fee to guarantee everyone sea view rooms!
After 4-nights in Mallorca we will fly off to Seville. Our hotel is perfectly situated within easy walking distance to all the attractions including the wonderful palace of Alcazar and the Catedral de Seville and Giralda Tower, the largest Gothic building in the world and the third-largest church in Europe. It is truly impressive.
From Seville we plan to offer a couple of wonderful day trips including Ronda or even a trip across the Strait of Gibraltar to visit Tangier. Ronda was one of our favorite towns on our last visit to Spain.Ronda sits in the heart of the Serrania de Ronda, about 100kms from the city of Malaga and with apopulation of approximately 35,000 inhabitants. Surrounded by lush river valleys and sitting above a deep ravine, it is a place that literally takes your breath away when seeing it. Anyone who has been lucky enough to visit Ronda will understand its appeal. It is one of the most beautiful and visited cities in Spain (the third most visited city in Andalucia).
