Growing up in Bunbury there weren't any women in tech roles that I could look up to and I often wonder if there was, would I have landed in this position in my life sooner. I am going to bring all the resources, mentors, and passion I have here to grow the community and create a support network so women growing up in the South West see female role models in tech and see it as an achievable career path.
I hope that not just women that are interested in Tech show up but also men who are allies and want to encourage the future generations of women. Showing up shows young women that it's ok to want this for herself.
