Practical Rationality Meetup: Life Hacks and Rationality Techniques

Details

This month's practical rationality meetup is newcomer friendly, and the first one we have hosted through meetup.com! No familiarity with the material on the Less Wrong blog is required, just a curious mind.

The theme for the night will be "Life Hacks and Rationality Techniques". What simple tools, tricks, and mental techniques can be used to improve happiness, productivity, and quality of life?

Everyone is free to bring suggestions, but especially if you have come before, bring a couple of examples of things you do differently that have recently improved your life. In my experience, everyone will be sure to have a long list by the end of the night!

If you have a friend who hasn't attended an event before, or has only come once or twice, this is the perfect occasion to bring somebody, so take 30 seconds right now and pick one of your friends to invite. (Yes, right now!)

Doors will be open from 6:30pm, with take away dinner and pre-conversation available until the kickoff for the structured activity at 7:30pm sharp, which will go until about 10pm. As always, there will be time after the event to stick around and carry on the discussion for as long as you want. Please feel free to ask questions below, and I look forward to seeing you there.
