The wait for eight is over! Join us to celebrate the release of Drupal 8 on Friday 20th of November at level 14, 115 Grenfell Street, a location generously donated by the University of Adelaide, with great views of the city below and the distant hills.

We’re inviting developers, designers, business owners, Drupal users, the Drupal-curious and all their friends to come and celebrate the launch of Drupal 8 with us in the heart of Adelaide.

As part of a series of parties held around the globe, we’re getting together to launch this major update to a powerful software platform that has been crafted by volunteers over the past five years. Open source, free and built by passionate experts, Drupal 8 features more than 200 new features and improvements. We think that deserves a celebration, and we’d love for you to join us.

Where: We’ll be at level 14, 115 Grenfell Street, a location generously donated by the University of Adelaide, with great views of the city below and the distant hills. When: November 20th, at 4pm to 6pm. Drupal 8 is launching officially on November 19th, so we’ll be in sync with the Northern hemisphere celebrations, and free to party on into the weekend.

What’s happening: We’ll do a quick speech at some point, but in general we’ll be eating, drinking, chatting and high fiving. No technical talks, no slides, and no lanyards - this is all about the good times. After 6, we'll probably head to a nearby pub.

How much: Free! The venue, drinks and nibblies have been generously donated by the University of Adelaide.
