🎞️ Deeper Conversations: Favorite Memories

Do you crave deeper conversations? Would you like to learn more about each other than our names, jobs, and where we're from? Then this event is for you! Many of us grew up in different places, decades, or cultures, so it should be interesting to hear about each other's favorite memories from different seasons of our lives, especially the holidays.

“Deeper Conversations” is a monthly event series where we gather in a semi-quiet space to discuss a different theme each month. I will bring a curated list of conversation starter questions inspired by the card decks sold by popular YouTube channels that foster deep conversations, including Diary of a CEO, Yes Theory, and Eamon & Bec. These questions are vetted to be non-political and non-religious, while sparking meaningful, uplifting, or intellectual conversations. They will be roughly sequenced from lighter to deeper questions, so we can warm up and get to know each other before diving in. Each month's theme will be matched to the season whenever possible…

December's Theme: Your Favorite Memories
The holidays are full of nostalgia, so these questions are designed to bring back favorite memories from all phases in your life, personal and professional. It's a chance to share stories that make you smile and give others a peek into your life before joining Meetup. Example questions include: "What is your earliest favorite childhood memory?", "What is the best thing that happened to you in the past year?", and holiday questions like, "What was your most prized holiday gift as a child?"

VENUE
I’ve chosen Babushka's in Hyde Park for its grandma kitsch decor and large table in a semi-private room, which is conducive to conversations. Babushka means "grandma" in many Eastern European countries, which makes it a nostalgic word and cuisine for many, including me. There’s no live music at this time and a menu of delicious, authentic Eastern European foods you might not have had the chance to try before. Preview their dinner, drinks, and dessert menus.

IMPORTANT: This restaurant charges $15 PER PERSON for changing the reservation less than 24 hours prior, so please don't stick me with your cancellation fee! As usual, RSVPs close 25 hours before the event, so please make any changes before then. No-shows and cancellations after RSVPs close will be removed from this Meetup.
