What we’re about
Welcome to Unity Planet: A 3rd Culture Group Connecting People and Cultures
Are you someone who grew up in multiple cultures or countries? Have you ever lived, or are you currently living, in a country different from where you were born? Do you have a mixed heritage or are you in an intercultural or interfaith relationship? Do you love traveling, exploring diverse cultures, and see the world as one global community? Do you identify as a global citizen, passionate about unity and diversity? If so, this vibrant and inclusive group is the perfect community for you!
A Third Culture Kid (TCK) is an individual who, having spent a significant part of their developmental years outside their parents' culture, builds relationships to all of the cultures, while not having full ownership in any. Although elements from each culture are assimilated into the TCK’s life experience, the sense of belonging is in relationship to others of similar background." — Pollock & Van Reken, 2001.
###
A Cross Culture Kid (CCK) is a person who is living in—or meaningfully interacting with—two or more cultural environments for a significant period of time during their developmental years." — Pollock & Van Reken, 2009.
About Us
Welcome to a community where global citizens find their tribe!
We are a diverse, inclusive group of individuals who live at the intersection of cultures, passionate about unity, diversity, and meaningful connection. Whether you’re a third culture kid, cross-cultural adventurer, or simply someone who resonates with the idea of global citizenship and belonging everywhere and nowhere, this is a space for you.
We believe in the magic of “1 + 1 = 3”—where combining cultures doesn’t dilute identities but creates a hybrid, uniquely beautiful culture we can call our own. Here, we celebrate the richness of our multicultural experiences, share stories, and build deep connections with others who truly get it.
Come join us as we explore, connect, and redefine what it means to belong.
Our members include:
- Traditional Third Culture Adults and Cross Culture Adults who have lived in or among different cultures or countries.
- Individuals of mixed heritage or in intercultural/interfaith relationships.
- Neurodiverse individuals
- People of all genders and sexual orientations.
