Arsen Shomakhov (blues guitarist) and happy hour at The Cambie

This week's act will be of particular interest to blues enthusiasts. Arsen Shomakhov has put out six albums and been nominated for a Maple Blues award. Here's a video of him playing at the Fairview from several years ago.

We have two tables reserved for 5:30, which will give us some time to chat before the music starts. Based on past experience, I expect the place to start filling up quickly around 5:30 to 6.

The band usually plays three sets between 7 and 10 pm, but you might wish to leave earlier.

The Cambie's happy hour menu is available till 9pm. For omnivores, I heartily recommend the $8 happy burger. People also seem to like the fish and chips.
