Brisbane GPU Users Meetup
Details
Note new venue. Here is a map showing how to find the venue. Coming from the city, you can walk down QUT's main pedestrian walkway (along the botanical gardens) and building P is right at the end (the new building). Coming from the Goodwill (pedestrian) bridge from Southbank, when you exit the bridge building P is also straight ahead, but you need to walk around to enter.

We hold our meetups on the 4th Thursday of every month.
Agenda:
Group update, announcements, news from Mark and Craig (and anyone else who has news!) Roderick Kennedy, CEO and Principal Architect of Simul Software (http://simul.co.uk) is in town and has agreed to give us an overview of truSKY (http://www.simul.co.uk/truesky) and other Simul Software products.
trueSKY™ is a C++ library which generates weather system data and updates it in real time. trueSKY™ creates volumetric cloud data, and provides realtime access to that data via a lightweight API. The cloud system generates pure volumetric data, it is cross-platform and renderer-independent. The sample applications that come with the SDK show how realtime clouds can be rendered using the generated cloud data, in various graphics APIs. Hope to see you there!
