Ichimoku Kinko Hyo is a technical trend trading charting system that has been used by Japanese commodity and stock market traders for decades and is gaining increasing popularity amongst western stock market traders, being commonly referred to as Ichimoku Cloud charts.

Ichimoku Kinko Hyo, which translates to "equilibrium at a glance chart", was developed to allow a trader to quickly and easily appraise the trend, momentum, and support and resistance levels of an asset, from a single chart.

The system does include signals but these should never be considered in isolation.

It is a visual technical analysis system and the charts are designed to be considered in their entirety to gain a perspective on the overall direction of the share or index and distinguish higher probability opportunities from lower probability ones.

The Presenter

Darryl Nagel commenced trading Australian stocks in 1984. He progressed to trading Options, Futures, CFDs, and Forex.

Over the past decade Darryl taught technical analysis on behalf of 3 companies throughout Australia. He has been a guest panellist on the Australian national Sky Business Channel program “Your Money, Your Call” as a technical analyst.

Darryl has always focussed on Support and Resistance when trading and when teaching. Naturally he now regards Ichimoku as his technical indicator of choice.

Darryl has been a member of the ATAA since then 1990’s. He presented his first paper on the psychology of trading to the Australian Technical Analysts Association in 1996. Darryl is a lawyer and is an SMSF specialist.

He last spoke to the Sydney ATAA on trading through an SMSF. Darryl has studied Ichimoku over the past 2 years with Manesh Patel of Ichimoku Trader, resulting in Darryl being appointed Director for Australia and New Zealand for Ichimoku Trader.
