Hipster map of Melbourne

Details

Our project this evening: We're going to make a hipster map of Melbourne. A single map showing you where to find the hipsterist bars, cafes and ridiculous cultural phenomena (like jafflechutes (https://www.google.com.au/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&cad=rja&ved=0CCoQFjAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.jafflechutes.com%2Fwhatis.html&ei=lkwNU5erDsGFkgXeyICgDw&usg=AFQjCNFy90Ro6cI0NIwamJzQkrg0EhUE1A&sig2=ZeIKq1IpKQGOJmkMXJ6wuA&bvm=bv.61725948,d.dGI) and $1000 handmade shoes). It will be decorated with outrageous hipster fonts (http://designbent.com/20-free-fonts-for-hipsters/).

Come along if:

• you have mapmaking skills

• you have technical data aggregation skills

• you have web dev or sysadmin skills

• you have hipster ideas

• you want to learn something!

Bring a laptop. This is a hands-on, fast-flowing hackathon!

Edit: dinner and drinks provided.
