What we're about

Adelaide Artificial Intelligence (Adelaide AI) is for anyone who has an interest in AI and wants to learn more about this exciting field. It is an opportunity for individuals to join a community where like-minded people can discover, discuss, network and promote the latest in Artificial Intelligence in a fun and friendly format.

We're passionate about Artificial Intelligence and are here to help support and build a diverse, inclusive and informed AI community. Following our launch night on the 23rd August 2018, the growing Adelaide Artificial Intelligence community includes developers, startups, industry leaders, academia and government, so whether you’re a professional, a developer, an enthusiast, or just plain interested, please come along and spread the word!

If you are interested in volunteering to help, sponsoring an event or would like to speak about AI at one of the meetups, please drop us a message (https://www.ailab.com.au/contact/).

AiLab (Artificial Intelligence Laboratory) (https://www.ailab.com.au/) are the proud founders, organisers and sponsor of the Adelaide Artificial Intelligence meetup, which is also co-sponsored by the Australian Institute for Machine Learning and the University of Adelaide.

REGISTER VIA ZOOM: Adelaide Artificial Intelligence – 5 October '20

TO ATTEND THIS ONLINE EVENT, PLEASE REGISTER VIA ZOOM (REGISTRATION LINK VISIBLE ONCE YOU RSVP TO THIS MEETUP) We are excited to run the Adelaide AI Meetup virtually over the coming months. Join us on Monday 5 Oct '20 at 6.30pm for a live webinar with two speakers in the UK; James Brown & Matt Daley from rFpro – the leading simulation environment for the automotive & motorsport industries. rFpro started as a project within a Formula 1 team in 2007. Customers include champions of every leading motorsport category & they maintain the largest library of digital road models including test tracks & race circuits for F1, NASCAR, WEC, IMSA, Indy, Formula E, Super-GT & Australian V8 Supercars James & Matt will discuss how rFpro has developed a means to slash the hardware costs associated with large-scale simulation that can be used to train AI models – incl. how Autonomous Vehicle (AV) & Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) engineers can perform complex simulations involving multiple sensors. The ground-breaking approach, Data Farming, has the potential to remove the industry’s dependence on the time-consuming, error-prone manual annotation of test data. It’s 10,000 times faster than manual techniques & provides a cost-effective way of creating the same data completely error-free. –––– EVENT SPONSORS This event is co-sponsored by AiLab (Artificial Intelligence Laboratory) & the Australian Institute for Machine Learning (AIML): University of Adelaide – huge thanks to our sponsors for the support. AiLab are the proud founders, organisers & sponsor of the Adelaide AI Meetup. Our goal is to help support & build a diverse, inclusive & informed AI community in a friendly & fun format. Whether you’re a professional, a developer, an enthusiast, or just plain interested, please come along & support our brilliant presenters. –––– EVENT DETAILS To attend this live webinar on Zoom you will need to RSVP in meetup & register for the event via Zoom to obtain joining instructions.
