Agile and resilient teams

Findex Building

Agile software development can be a great way for developing and delivering outstanding products. However, in reality things do not always run smoothly and the conditions are not always perfect to run a project agile. Time pressure and last minute changes to the scope for a current sprint. Different priorities for the program owner, the agile team and other stakeholders. When agile teams are faced with these challenges this can cause stress, frustrations and can negatively impact team’s efficiency, resilience and health, both short and long term. We will look at a few common challenges and practical strategies and tools to build and become a more resilient agile team. And here's a brief bio: Nadja Conaghan is the owner and founder of Great Minds United assisting high performing teams to reach their full potential while staying resilient under pressure. Brisbane Lean Coffee

Metropole Bar & Eatery

What is Lean Coffee? Lean Coffee is a structured, but agenda-less meeting. Participants gather, build an agenda, and begin talking. Conversations are directed and productive because the agenda for the meeting was democratically generated. More info via: http://leancoffee.org/ What will we talk about? We will have a general theme around Agile given we're the Agile Brisbane Meetup, but really Lean Coffee is about having discussions with others in the community, asking questions, sharing stories and knowledge, and supporting each other in our day to day roles. When do we meet? Brisbane Lean Coffee meets on the morning of the first Friday of each month. What do I need to bring? Yourself :-) Post-it notes and pens will be provided. Elabor8 (https://elabor8.com.au/) provides coffees and hot chocolates for all.
