ECONOMIC HISTORY VII
This is the final installment of a series of lectures that covers the history of economic development & the myriad of schools of thought that arose in response and active participation in the unprecedented phenomena of massive wealth, dehumanising poverty & the widening gap of inequality. The lecture covers the comparison of the conflicting economic models – neoliberalism, rationalism, neo-Keynesian, modern monetary theory -- that arose between WWII & the present as well as the current Georgist challenge and prospective response to them.

    What we're about

This is a group operated by the Association for Good Government (AGG), an organisation that believes that the growing problems we are experiencing can be combated far more effectively by securing our natural rights than by authoritarian controls.

Though we may not immediately see it, the natural right we need most to equalise is the right to land -- a place to work and to live. This is the teaching of Henry George, American economist and social philosopher whose ideas and principles have had a profound influence on luminaries such as Leo Tolstoy, Helen Keller, Sun Yat Sen, Albert Einstein, Adolf Damaschke and Joseph Stiglitz and on policies os high growth countries like the East Asian dragon economies, Scandinavia and Botswana. The Association propagates and studies of his primary literature through submissions, courses, seminars, articles and its bi-monthly magazine Good Government.

The meetup announces activities open to the public as well as to its members of its branches and affiliates.
