Tina (MoltenCherry) Richards from Cotton Candy Cyanide will tell the tale of her rise from dreaming about making a video game while lying on her living room floor one night to having her first game, Quantum Suicide, in full development and set for release mid/late 2017.
So how did a girl with an undergraduate degree in Japanese language and no game development experience start making a video game? The answer is …with a large amount of difficulty, but boy golly is it a fun tale. The process of making Quantum Suicide has been two fun filled years interlaced with some pretty testing moments; from having a failed Kickstarter campaign and losing artist and partners, all the way to paying contractors for work that have yet to be seen again. (Where did they go I wonder?)
Will Quantum Suicide be a happily ever after story? No one will know until the game has been shipped (fingers crossed), but until then, let’s enjoy the journey, learn from her mistakes and laugh.

Tina (MoltenCherry) Richards is the founder, creator and resident cake lover at Cotton Candy Cyanide game studio on the Gold Coast. Currently being a studio of one, Tina switches roles for whatever the Quantum Suicide production needs – writer, programmer, social media manager, production manager and at times, even an extremely terrible artist. Currently she is on track to release her first game, Quantum Suicide, a game of betrayal, deception and romance in the cold depths of space on Steam and the PlayStation Vita in mid/late 2017. With no history in game development, Tina has and is continuing to self-teach herself programming and has recently made the change from the visual novel engine Ren’Py to Unity*.
*being Self-taught means Tina probably won’t understand your lingo or terminology in regards to programming but will nod politely. Don’t worry, she’ll get there.
