The Darwin Bushwalking Club is a recreational club over 20 years young, run on a voluntary basis by an elected committee for the benefit of its members.

Our walks and other events are open to all; everyone is most welcome!

Please note that at this point in time we will only be using Meetup to publish upcoming walks! To ensure spots etc you must contact the walk leader directly via contact details on meetups.

All our walks are currently organised through direct contact with walk leaders. Contact details are available through the meetups or via our walk calender's on the website. Permits are required for many back-country hikes, to ensure a spot you must contact the leader directly.

To cover insurance, emergency beacons/satellite phones etc we do require a small membership fee. Membership costs $40 for a year($20 for students) and will cover all walks you choose to go on. The year runs from July 1st to June 30th each year.

Alternatively we do have six month membership available for walks from Jan 1st to June 30th at a flat cost of $20. There is also a try before you buy option, $10 will get you two walks in two months. For information on Darwin Bushwalking Club including Membership, our insurance, equipment, transport etc please go to our website http://darwinbushwalkingclub.org.au/

We have walks for everyone at all levels of experience we run a wide range of bushwalks including relaxing Social Walks, Day Walks and Weekend trips. These can be anything from car camping to multi day backpack walks sleeping in some of the most remote & beautiful places in the NT. Anything from a 2km easy ramble to a 50km bouldering experience. Walks are rated easy, moderate or difficult but any questions or doubts just ask the walk leaders for more information

As you can see we are very versatile, with something for everyone no matter what your fitness level or interest in bushwalking. If you would like more information on the types of walks we offer go to out web site at http://darwinbushwalkingclub.org.au/

We also hold meetings once a month that don't require membership fees.

The club also meets socially and sometimes organises other outdoor activities such as canoeing and bicycle riding. If you like to get outdoors, see parts of the NT that few have seen, meet with other like-minded people then our club is for you.
