What we’re about
This group is dedicated to those who wish to work on personal and spiritual development through such tools as meditation, yoga, sound baths, energy work, mindfulness, Native American traditions and community development.
All are welcome to any of our events as long as you come with an open mind and respectful heart. We hold space for you to join our community and also to potentially lead/host an event.
We typically have 2-4 events each week. We also offer one on one work for those of you who are more serious about discovering your path or taking the next step.
We hold sacred space both indoors and outdoors. Inside with have a large great room with fireplace and a large plant/crystal room. Outside we have a few streams/springs, labyrinth, sweat lodge, tipi, gardens, fire circle and much more.
We are centrally located so people can conveniently reach us from DC or Baltimore, yet we are also quietly tucked away into the forest.
Given our location, we do have a shared driveway with a couple neighbors. So please note and respect that it is imperative that you drive no faster than 5pmh on our driveway and do not stop to interact with the horses.

Adam Kandel and Becca Steinbach invite you to Real Eyes Meditation Center on Friday July 4th to come and celebrate Life, giving gratitude through ceremony, song, cacao and community. What a perfect time to join our hearts expressing our souls!
In this particular cacao song circle, we will be celebrating Adam's newest album release: Show Up As Love. A beautiful album of medicine songs and mantra, vibrant with Adam's palpable devotion, connection and uplifting , soul-inspiring rhythms. We invite you to download the album here! Beginning with the medicine of sacred, ceremonial Cacao, we will connect into and open our hearts, receiving insight and creating relationship with the sacred spirit of this grounding plant medicine. Then, we will ground in love, joy and connection through a song circle together in community, offering our prayers through Voice.
We will be singing a mixture of devotional medicine songs, kirtan style songs, and mantras.
(What is Kirtan? Call and response style of devotional singing. You will experience a variety of devotional songs including Sanskrit mantras, medicine songs, and more. Call and response style requires no knowledge of lyrics.)
Many songs will be sung Kirtan style, others will be sung all together. Most songs are easy to pick up and learn on the spot :)
Come and sing your heart full! As we shift within to that heart-full state, we bring the gift of our love into our daily world - through our thoughts, words and actions.

~a mug for Cacao
~Water
~a journal & pen
~a rattle or drum if you have one!
~dress for the weather, we will be outside

Exchange: Suggested exchange $33-$40. There are also Venmo and Paypal options on site.
Space is limited, so RSVP is required. Please plan to arrive 15 minutes early so you can get situated. If the weather shifts, this event will be moved indoors.
CAMPING OPTIONAL: If you would like to stay over, you are welcome to bring a tent and set up on our land for the night. Please note that we ask for no loud noises after 10pm in respect of our neighbors. We will also have a sweat lodge ceremony all day on Saturday in which you are welcome to join. If so and if you have attended this ceremony at our location before, it is important to read and follow the protocols of this, which we will post on our real eyes meditation website calendar.
FIRST TIMERS: All are welcome, as long as you come with an open/positive mind and respectful heart. No prior experience necessary. You are also welcome to walk our grounds or check out our crystal shop.
IMPORTANT DIRECTIONS: The address is 15406 Riding Stable Rd. Property is at end of 1/2 mile long driveway into the woods. You will drive over a small stream. Please be EXTRA MINDFUL to drive slowly (under 10 MPH) so as to not stir up any driveway dust. It is a shared driveway, so it’s important to respect our neighbors. Please do not stop to interact with horses.
